Privacy notice
Who we are
DeckCount is operated by DeckCount L Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 17493217, registered office First Floor, 3 Cumbrian House, 217 Marsh Wall, London E14 9FJ. We are the controller of the personal data described here. To contact us, use the enquiry form.
What you give us, and what happens to it
- Your documents are never kept. The deck, and any marketing strategy or forecast files, are read to produce the review and then discarded.
- What is kept: the notes you type, the file name and the result are kept in a review log that only DeckCount can see, so a review can be revisited.
- For how long: a scored review is held for a year against a one-way fingerprint of the files, so that re-submitting the same material returns the same review. The fingerprint cannot be turned back into the documents.
- Links you paste (a website deck, Google Slides, Drive, Docs or Sheets, or a PDF link) are fetched once to be read and are not retained.
Who processes it for us
Four providers act on our instructions. Anthropic, whose model reads the documents to produce the review; under its commercial terms it does not use what we send it to train its models. Vercel, which hosts the site and runs the review. Upstash, which holds the review log and the saved reviews. Web3Forms, which forwards enquiry-form messages to us by email. Each is based in the United States, and each is bound by a contract that applies safeguards recognised under UK data protection law to any personal data it handles for us.
Why we are allowed to do this
We rely on our contract with you to run the review you asked for, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the service to keep the review log, count page views and answer enquiries. We never use your documents for anything other than your review.
Payments
Payments are taken by our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details. The payment provider holds your card and billing details under its own privacy notice, and tells us only that a payment was made and for which plan.
The funding path
Your deck is never stored. Only the review is shared, and only if you book. If you choose to book a conversation with Peyman & Partners, what you submit on their enquiry form is handled under their own privacy notice.
Visitor statistics and cookies
The site counts page views using a cookieless service from our hosting provider. No cookies are set for this.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it, through the enquiry form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
